3D Laser Scanner Operator:
Operating a 3D laser scanner to gather point cloud data of Gyratory and Cone crusher mantles/concaves/ bowls to produce accurate wear profiles. This information is then used to advise the mine site operators how they can properly predict crusher shutdowns and how much life is left on the wear parts. Based on how fast the wear parts are reaching end of life and the type of ore body being used, this data could be then used to properly select wear part alloys to increase life.
PolyWorks Design:
Using the PolyWorks software, scanner point cloud data is imported and used to create accurate mesh models. With these mesh models, detailed measurements and wear profiles are created.
